SimIS Supports the Wesley Community Service Center Backpack Drive!

SimIS is excited to be able to support the Wesley Community Service Center again this year! Even though learning looks a lot different this school year, that doesn't mean the kids in our community do not need supplies and backpacks. The Wesley Community Service Center provides multiple programs and support for urgent and unmet individual, family, and community needs in the Southside of Portsmouth, Virginia. Established in 1937, the center began as Methodist Women in Portsmouth joined to form a city mission board that would become involved in community needs and social issues. The Center has now been in service and ministry since 1937. We were able to donate over 15 backpacks plus boxes of supplies!
